    Sailing Leadership Forum 2016 offers a unique experience for all types of sailors to connect on important and relevant issues on all aspects of our sport. Leaders from sail training and education, yacht club and sailing organization management, race officials, and industry professionals will meet and learn from one-another in the surroundings of this spectacular Southern California venue.

    The Forum will offer keynote speaker presentations and focused group sessions on a wide range of topics such as Growing the Sport, Developing Programs, Marketing & Communications, Administration & Management, Regattas & Racing, and Rules & Officials.

    The Sailing Leadership Forum will feature lively and fun social events, hands-on activities, exhibitor displays and demonstrations, pre- and post- forum clinics and seminars for instructor certification, race management seminars, Safety at Sea Seminars, and much more.

    What are the conference dates?
    The conference will kick-off with a not-to-miss welcome reception the afternoon of Wednesday, February 3 with sessions running from Thursday, February 4 through Saturday, February 6, 2016

    What if the hotel is sold-out?

    A courtesy block of rooms for US Sailing will be contracted at a nearby property should we fill our room block.

    What is the cost to attend?
    • Early Bird Registration (Ends Aug. 15): $250
    • Standard Registration (Ends Dec. 31): $300
    • Late Registration (Jan. 1 – Jan. 31): $325
    • At the Door Registration (Feb. 1–6): $350
    • Group Registration (3+) (Ends Dec. 15): $275

    What is the cancellation policy?
    Registrations are refundable up to 30 days prior to the event (Jan 5, 2016).  Registrations are non-refundable within 30 days of the event.

    Will conference presentations be available?

    Presentation and session documents will be made available online after the event for paid conference attendees. Hard copies will not be available at the hotel during the event.

    Are any travel assistance grants available?
    Yes! Thanks to a grant from the US Sailing Foundation, we are able to award a limited number of travel grants.

    Will I get to go sailing?

    YES!  Sponsors will have an opportunity to get the boats wet and attendees will have dedicated time to test out these great boats and products.Be sure to pack your sailing gear!

    What happened to US Sailing’s National Sailing Program Symposium, One-Design Symposium and Yacht Club Summit?
    In 2016, the Sailing Leadership Forum will take the place of separate NSPS, ODSS and Yacht Club Summit events. The Forum will include presentations, seminars, courses, and breakout sessions featured in these signature US Sailing events.
