NOTICE OF RACE
1. Organizing Authority
a. Clearwater Community Sailing Center (CCSC) and
b. 505 Fleet 15, St. Petersburg, FL.
2. Venue
a. Clearwater Community Sailing Center,1001 Gulf Boulevard
b. Clearwater, Florida 33767. The racing area will be on the Gulf of Mexico, directly
northwest of the Clearwater inlet.
3. Rules
a. This event is governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, except as changed by this
notice of race, the sailing instructions, the prescriptions of US Sailing or the rules
of the International 505 Class. The 505 Fleet 15 also reserves the right to
change this notice of race.
4. Eligibility
a. The regatta is restricted to members of the International 505 Class.
5. Registration
a. Competitors may register online at the CCSC website, no later than February
19th. Entry forms may also be mailed:
b. A late fee of $25 applies after February 12
th

c. Signed liability waivers must be received no later than 1800 hours, February 19.
Waivers can be executed online or at checkin.
6. Entry Fee
a. Entry fee includes three days of racing and two evening meals for the
competitors.
b. Entry fee will be $100 for each 505 class boat. The entry fee may be paid on the
Club’s secure site.

8. Event Format
a. The courses will be windward/leeward, with finishes to leeward. Final details will
be in the Sailing Instructions.
9. Sailing Instructions
a. Sailing instructions will be available at checkin at CCSC Thursday, February
25th, and a digital version should be made available.
10. Advertising
a. This event will be governed by the ISAF Regulation 20.
11. Scoring
a. The Low Point Score System of RRS, Appendix A will apply.
12. Prizes
a. Prizes will be awarded to the drivers and crews placing first through third. The
winning team will also be loaned the Midwinter Championship perpetual trophy.
Their names will be etched on the trophy.
13. Disclaimer
a. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4,
Decision to Race. Neither the organizing authority nor the host organization, nor
the sponsors will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or
death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
