Fundraiser benefits nonprofit sailing program
SANDUSKY — The public is invited to walk the plank to the Sandusky Sailing Club on Sept. 10 for a fundraiser benefiting Adaptive Adventures — a nonprofit that provides outdoor sports opportunities for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities, along with their families — and its Sandusky Sailing program.
The event is from noon-7 p.m. and features an open house, a Texas barbecue with live music, boat rides, an open bar and a silent auction.
Tickets are $55 before Sept. 1 and $60 from Sept. 2-10 and at the door. One hundred tickets will be sold.
Organizers are also seeking corporate sponsors at levels from $100-$1,000, along with silent auction items. Deadline is Wednesday.
To RSVP, become a corporate sponsor or silent auction donor, or for information, contact Larry Knauer at 614-551-3118 or larry@adaptiveadventures.org or Carrie Ranney at 216-513-5207 or cranney@freedomboatclub.com.
Tickets can also be purchased and donations can be made by visiting adaptiveadventures.org. A Day on the Water - Sandusky Sailing is on the Events menu under the Ways to Give tab.
Those who can’t attend the fundraiser but would still like to show their support can purchase a ticket for a program participant.
