and it is roasting set to get to about
35 degrees on Tuesday they gonna be loud
they're just coming into the marina it's
the real Club
Nautica one in middle car really busy it
looks huge I think there's a couple of
commercial ones and then the one where
we're going
the low tonight just to be your chair
there's a regard to govern on Brian's
friend is actually basted in the regatta
and he's called lorry hey if you're
listening
this is the marina absolute huge this is
the boat that the family who owned Gucci
it survey which is pretty cool it's
supposed to be the biggest wooden boat
in the world of thing where are we
standard mcdonald's standard without
last night would make Laurie a little
bit tipsy today
Palmer is the capital city as well as
the largest in the Balearic Islands
which today a Spanish territory Parma
was founded by the Romans in 120 BC as
part of their expansion across Europe
throughout the course of history has
been taken over and under control by
many different groups and you can see
the influences of these groups in some
of the architecture around the city
there was a lot of unrest of rioting
over the years and piracy became a real
problem around the port of Parma the
Balearic Islands ended up being Spanish
territory and in 1833 were officially
classed as their own province Parma is
famous for lassu his Cathedral seen here
which interested me it was built on top
of a previous mosque and the mosque was
originally built on top of a Christian
Church today 29 million passengers fly
to and from Parma Airport every year
with an additional couple of million
visiting by sea I cast 80% of the
population here working tourism and
because of this tourism will cruise one
of the wealthiest regions in Spain
Palmas other economic portal is
agriculture of his main exports being
almonds oranges lemons and on it what
we're doing today Ryan
okay what's the wind nice day yeah
we're outside we have Brian's mom and
Matt bit windy we've got about 22 knots
so it's a little bit strong all as
they're struggling up there but it's
good no danger
Oh bless you're gonna go straight in as
a dive from the hammock yeah okay did it
feel good I don't know it didn't it
wasn't perfect
now you can do it properly are you ready
now yeah you psyched for it I don't
think the angle of your fingertips is
gonna matter to the actual the rest of
it okay yeah that was a lot better come
in tom
the underside of the chassis was awful
and I think we was losing about two
knots of speed when we were sailing we
were getting some strange vibrations in
the propeller and I thought it was clean
because we gone down with a pad and
scrubbed it but when I was down there
doing the underside of all of the boat I
noticed that the propeller was actually
silvery not like a bronzy color so I got
the scraper on here and I'd like some
hard but almost white lime scale on it
could have been lime scale it must have
been some sort right yes taken out
really quite quickly no vibrations
we do need to get an teeth out don't we
yeah but we can't afford it so we're
just gonna have to keep cleaning it yeah
that's why there's loads of like weird
white patches and it's not all black
yeah but you know clean it once a week
or something now now we can get on top
of it as the waters yeah should be a
problem then once we get it reactive out
it's good for another two years at least
yeah so no it's good practice out David
yeah
