In Episode 13 (lucky 13), I went looking for spring sails and found a happy green egg. It was Easter weekend, so this little green dude was hanging around Port Leucate, popping his head around the landscape. I did do a small project of installing a GPS Navigator. And the highlight was going to get an up close look at the windmills. They are gentle giants spinning around generating power. I'd seen them from a distance and wanted to get as close as possible. And boy did I get close. I was able to stand at the feet of these gentle giants. It was fantastic!

2:11
oh
2:28
mr. a got cracked he was a good egg
2:32
though a bit boring he could have used
2:35
some spicing up
2:42
so all-around poor look at our shellfish
2:45
farms they're grown right there behind
2:50
the windsurfers
2:52
oysters clams and mussels and I've been
2:57
noticing this tiny little fishing
2:59
village each time I've driven by to and
3:03
from Switzerland
3:03
I was curious and hungry been eating and
3:11
galloping all the time so I figured I
3:13
could treat myself to some fresh seafood
3:16
so both sides of the canal are lined
3:19
with fishing shacks which also are
3:21
eateries it's not quite the season yet
3:24
so it's kind of slow
3:31
I decided on the most colorful joy and
3:36
it's pretty cool we can verify that this
3:39
is the freshest Frederick shellfish you
3:41
can possibly can comes right from the
3:45
lagoon right there behind
3:57
boisterous clams mussels that's it in
4:01
fact that's all that's on the menu and
4:04
raw
4:04
it's a slimy mouthful all right but hey
4:07
they're fresh the folks next to me were
4:12
Australian and French they were pretty
4:14
cool we talked about the area of it did
4:17
just had a baby it's cool around here
4:21
I'm starting to appreciate it well it's
4:23
time to change shoes I've got these
4:28
walking shoes that are falling apart
4:29
when I was walking around in clips and
4:32
so here I am at Decathlon and it's a
4:36
really nice store stuff and it's really
4:39
affordable all these shoes cost me plus
4:42
the gloves 80 euros I did decide to
4:47
engage in the small project replacing
4:51
the nav techs because I tested it out
4:55
and it displays all kind of broken up
4:59
and it's hard to read them so the GPS
5:01
navigator is kind of looking weird so
5:06
I'm gonna try the new one that Patrice
5:09
has left an expert at using these things
5:12
I thought I better put in the new one
5:15
it's good to know that I see now that's
5:17
where the array marine and to call the
5:20
riverine trains receiver and splitter
5:23
for the autopilot and the instruments
5:27
out in the cockpit so it's good because
5:31
I was just reading about this so now you
5:32
know all the stuff is here here's the
5:34
radar oh cool anyways the previous owner
5:39
Patrice
5:40
that's a new one which he didn't install
5:42
and so I decided well I'm gonna do that
5:45
check it out cuz I was taking all the
5:46
instruments out and everything seems to
5:48
be in order except this thing is a
5:49
little wonky so seeing what's behind
5:54
here correct this little problem and
5:57
cook this one up hopefully it works
5:58
better than this one perfect
6:03
this one that's really working good now
6:05
oh yeah
6:08
cool much better so now I just need to
6:11
put all this stuff back together awesome
6:13
thank you pop please
8:51
absolutely extraordinary windows
8:57
peppered all over the landscape here
9:00
that's just tunnel tool wind and here
9:03
it's kind of a comet day winds not too
9:06
strong moving though huge making me
9:12
dizzy absolutely spectacular
9:20
can you hear the noise listen
9:30
I've always wanted to get up close to
9:34
one of these gentle giants and I'm at
9:37
the foot of one and it's just absolutely
9:39
astonishing it's beautiful quiet gentle
9:45
yes you can sense this immense power I
9:48
can pick this off my wishlist I've been
9:51
at the foot of a giant windmill this is
9:56
fabulous absolutely extraordinary
9:58
experience love it well maybe not
10:00
extraordinary but pretty cool
10:51
time I'm looking for time in rosemary
11:00
crush able to pull off
11:06
Oh that'll make yellow pine smell good
11:13
wow what an wonderful day and here in
11:18
the South of France around Paul look at
11:21
a little bit of Easter egg hunting and I
11:26
thought it was hunting around here
11:27
because I keep hearing shots so well
11:31
concerned about getting confused for a
11:35
wild boar or some other kind of wild
11:37
creature around here and get shot by
11:39
some crazy beer-drinking or red wine
11:42
drinking frenchman but I don't know
11:46
I did see a bunch of turds that probably
11:51
were wild boar turds paths and few hoof
11:55
prints some pretty pretty sure they're
11:57
wild boars around here like crazy and
12:00
the bang bang bang pop pop pop that I
12:03
heard before it sound like gunshots so I
12:06
was a little concerned I'd be mistaking
12:09
for a some kind of wild animal running
12:12
around these woods but that's I'm on the
12:14
road I think I'm pretty safe I've got my
12:19
I've got a nice little bounty of fresh
12:23
wild herbs from the South of France and
12:27
I'm gonna make myself some kind of
12:31
Provencal cuisine yes
12:39
you do Tom there you go it's the French
12:42
Oh
