supervising all this laughs so we've got

a screwdriver

I know Clive always puts these gentle

whoa one screw those grooves the brass

screws flies Dunham should be it's 40

years old this pump it's your bus goal

forgot one but what number was it we've

got the it's a model

sick sick for Oh 200

how much done to buy 400 pound for these

pumps not doing bother but I on this

front cover

it's got rotation so you can't really go

wrong so you can rotate either way so

Cove will always be a mark on the back

where the impeller has been robbing

don't worry about that the first thing

to do is actually check whether it's

straight and we have checked this and it

is straight then you a gasket be very

careful with this gasket because it cost

non what's done five pound flat gasket

another ripoff for now you can make a

other complex box don't worries right

impeller Rahzel them with a grub screw

with the allen key we're gonna take that

whole well above it there's a little

camp that the cow actually calls is the

impeller blades to flip over and

depending on which rotation you go when

it will actually suck the water in all

the way around and push your back into

the engine like it's supposed to do but

the first thing we'll do is just get

this back round of it I got it straight

find out which ends got the allen allen

key on it first thing we're going to do

is set this camel that's held in place

with just one screw in the top I don't

know how good this is gonna come out

now you should be able to get this out

we don't really want to be forcing this

out to gently pull it out actually not

scratching anything you're not damaging

the improbable where's the big players

where's me big players I could've run

this out in five seconds little bit

better players fault what are these five

wouldn't use you either

anyway we'll pull this out this is a

Halfmoon shaped piece of brass remember

there's a little mark on the back of it

that locates into a watch here I'll show

you later on so it's quite easy to get

this back in just force one of them down

and you can get it in quite easy not

allowed to be anywhere on that because

it's only rubber that's going on it what

clean it off greasing it when you put it

back in just check that the grub screw

with the allen key is level with the

hole that you've just removed the screw

which was holding this in place okay you

know one key you have to find out what

size is yeah it's not metric well anyway

and as you see you can go inside it but

if you've got a decent tool if you're

not like dumb and you've got 50 pounds

of the tools you'll have a screwdriver

that's an old key screwdriver set it

will actually do this in seconds well

the idea is to keep turning this our

normals people stop at this stage but I

want to keep going keep turning you can

see the I can see it you can see the

grub screw quenelle it goes all the way

through but you don't want to keep

screwing the screw until it comes too

far out the other side you can see it's

like I say with this decent set of the

on key screwdrivers you know this out in

five seconds but we don't do things like

that a second chance heirloom we like to

do it hard don't work don't be dumb hey

so when you get this all the way out but

almost there I hope this cameras doing a

decent job keep turning until it drops

out

there we go there's the part again even

a part like that it's not gonna be cheap

and it's gonna be very out to get

although so don't lose anything in Pella

the very gentle it should be a just

prize you up you're not gonna do any

damage on the inside of it it's in this

stage you'll probably find now if you're

giving you trouble that you've only got

a couple of these messes what's on this

one is a good one

well preached you need to put plenty of

grease on this because you run that you

for 30 seconds without any water or

grease you're gonna wear it away very

quickly and again out to the impalas Dom

14-pound it's fits on either way yep

it's an either way there's no cams or

anything calmness just just around the

earth so it sits on behind the impeller

there's a brass brass washer these are

cut out at the bottom of the bra

brass washer don't know much the wires

have caught on the bottom of graça

Machel you there's a pin right there

very very top of the brass washer

Auguste Rodin's on the show up you might

be a seal on there is likely a pin on

the washer now that pin long-case

Tuesday a little cut out on the camp so

when the cam goes in it stops the washer

for nothing

again somebody might be a tell us but we

don't know why these are cut out well

well actually god those are cut out

because it helps you getting it out what

you wouldn't need that anyway so gently

take this out you could say this is a

single voltage brass and again with the

cut out it's not gonna do much sealing

around the seal below it you can only

put this in one way because there is

only

little indentation sticking out one side

I'm sticking in you look so that's so

that's our inside here there's a seal

with a whole ring on the outside of it

so yes they gently take this I won't

take out who just bought this new one in

gently take this o-ring now and the

inner part is the seal take the CLO

seals got a spring rounder like most oil

seals off there's nothing wrong with

this this is actually 107 perfect but

for some reason the pump just wasn't

working so we've got to investigate it

further they certainly know water

leaking out of the back bar while it was

running which yet that but it just would

not pump we have the rotation have you

told you depending on which way is

rotating from the front because you'll

have to pull on there on the thumb hole

that's a fitter than there were see

there's a polygon Blueboy we'll just get

the polar

we might just get the puller don't

forget when it see at the moment so it

might rock about a bit I know lots of me

is a puller this is a polo it goes on it

now we have a lot of trouble with the

power it lined up most of the time

perfectly alright but their way of

fixing it to the shaft the polar weather

you had it this way round or that way

around it didn't really matter that just

helps us align the belt look better on

this particular engine but if we presume

no it was actually going this way around

which I wonder thought it would have

been from the factory

we've no idea to knowing because this

not much information on this it was just

a screw fitted through the top and all

the screw did was totally in a brass

Ross part what was happening a lot of

the time was it was actually spinning

the poly was spitting because the screw

was coming loose so probably spinning

which meant the pump wasn't working but

that wasn't our problem anyway so but to

get round now we've actually drilled all

the way through and with this being

brass it was quite easy to draw all the

way through thee you can see on the flap

you can see the flat part here where the

original screw was just pressed against

well that wasn't and all that relief it

I suppose it will develop be simple

reason is the pumps never actually gonna

stop unless it seizes up in that case

you look really bothered well to get

around that we drove all the way through

it and we put a nut and bolt through it

which means that when we put this on but

a nut and bolt in it

this will turn and the pump will

certainly turn the pump did to him

perfectly alright

I could see now that I would have said

that it would have gone on backwards

simple reason is for those who knows

there

put on there you wouldn't have made that

them two parts talking like that

dolphins also you're still gonna feel

very careful because this seal on the

back is still talking about so you still

have to pull it a little bit away we had

it all settled properly anyway and it

still didn't work so we're going to

investigate further but I hope that

shows you something about the Tabasco

water pump what was that what did we

think about you Bosco water pumps dunk

rubbish what we got on now

Stephen Swedish pump and it pumps

absolutely brilliant and it's probably

about as old as this Tabasco one how

anybody can be asking they only use

seals falling out already how anybody

can actually form the palm floor knees

have no idea

well this is just my take on big Clive's

doing do Basco water pumps you probably

do a better job we could do is send in

one so four seconds on sailing it's bye
