sailed all the way from nova scotia

canada

to the caribbean and we've been cruising

for about a year now

today i am participating in a race i

haven't raced

since before buying this boat actually

it should be

pretty interesting here in carrico every

year they do an

annual regatta around the island it's a

circumnavigation of the entire island of

kyraku so we got a little team together

and we took one of the fastest cruiser

boats that we had

and we entered the race so it should be

a lot of fun i think there's about six

of us and the boat is called timmy's run

i got the gopro hopefully we'll get some

good racing footage

and yeah it should be a good day

you guys want to slow down a little bit

good luck guys good luck it's a

beautiful boat look at that

timmy's run is a 2000 beneteau 4-6-1

at 46 feet long we raced her with a crew

of six

after a brief introduction to the

rigging from skipper brian hurst

we were ready to get underway

it rained constantly throughout the

entire race keeping dry was not an

option

but hey we're racing

we're gonna attack

skipper for the day

doing a bang-up job keeping us to

weather

august 10th is the first day of carnival

here in grenada

all celebrations have been shut down due

to the kobit 19 pandemic

however some locals still came out to

dance to jab jab covering themselves in

black oil and mud

we decided to hop over to saline island

for a few days to enjoy the privacy of a

beautiful anchorage in a nearby white

sandy beach

it's a nice peaceful getaway from the

busy anchorage of tyrell bay

[Music]

so

this beach here at white island has to

be one of the best beaches here in

keraku

we are so fortunate to be able to spend

time here even though we are sheltering

from hurricanes and the world is still

dealing with the coronavirus

[Music]

we were invited to join our friend jack

from the boat yellow bird in

hillsborough to celebrate his birthday

this beach bar is called snags they

provided a meal

cheap drinks and brought in this local

live band
