so we're off again we left Coldwater bay
this morning about eight o'clock and
we're on our way to catch 40 miles with
very little if not no wind excellent
looking forward to
[Music]
[Applause]
are we doing
got two knots of wind in a moment well
it's just um up to three so we're doing
well that's a 2.9 we're just coming up
to Patera Beach the infamous Patera
beach where it seems to go on forever
very very long beach
which is just before Kalka so we're in
cash thought we'd come for another
little jaunt so we're walking up a hill
and as you can see got a nice view of
the sea
yeah bit hot I'm melting don't reduce my
temperature is it the first two degrees
to make it out it's number xxx that's
the bit that is killing us
well that is quite incredible isn't it
place called Nuri Beach which was quite
well known to sailors heard it's gone
downhill a little bit but that's only
reputation so we don't need to try out
ourselves really and that's of the
direction we're heading tomorrow down
towards kukoba in front of this down
here is the cache tang which is lovely
really pretty or Greektown buildings are
quite unusual and then over this side
you have the marina and Kestrel is
just there so we're just leaving cash
marina hoping for a little bit of wind
today to take his run to kurková which
is about 19 nautical miles
so just got some fuel paid 300 lira for
a bit of fuel we don't know how much
we've got and about 40 lira for some
petrol for the outboard this is where
you get when you go to soup we are one
two three four tankers to fill up the
fuel that's amazing scary stuff imagine
how much that cost
finally all this time so this is
beautiful koi gears we're just at the
beginning
lots of runes
so we're gonna do a bit of exploring
tomorrow what you waiting for
oh wait Phoebe why what she did well she
wants to play and she's too close to
dances she tied her right round the side
and she's coming back for the play
I always knew one to go in first because
if it's cold I won't go in so you find
he's got the boat keys the car keys
watch on you name it how is it no it's
not does it warm enough for you
so where are we call you jinguk over
[Music]
this is actually part of the lycian way
we're walking through the grounds what
is it like a garden area it's actually a
campsite it's really quirky really nice
some kind of scene units so strange
place to leave yourself go figures run
yet to the water lady how would you know
not the lid off that one over there
yep in a beautiful little house how
quaint is that
so it's the third of October and
beautiful day again and we are just
leaving see chat call you it's still
it's calm they'll be absolutely no wind
so we're just heading off
[Music]
an adventure nice bag shallow so good
for dropping your anchor in yeah we're
heading off up there somewhere so we
dropped anchor in about six feet held
really well trip books everywhere lots
of yacht coming in but it's a lovely
place
[Music]
so we're just leavin got tire beautiful
place really enjoyed staying there a
couple nights quite noisy the trip votes
I'd say is the only disadvantage to it
because as you can see that a few girls
in the bay this is the little town of
follicle parlor called Halloween parcel
for you one village
so we're going to try and anchor behind
this bit of island which will be
just beyond this bigger point thing
so we're in the Little Bay of goo J's
the tone is on our starboard side and
it's thickening up the cloud getting
darker and we can hear some thunder
rumbling around boy finally arrives it's
12 o'clock or nuts around the time they
said that the wind would start but
obviously the rain looking fools and
lightning in the background this guy's
gone very dark
thank you
to go to the stops well nearly had
stopped now started up again
so my down below I'm gonna treat mundo
drinking tea and playing
I'm not sure what that is it's not like
there's probably something horrendous
but we're in cattle yeah gave me back I
think
how'd you know well we came to a gay
beach most favorite they're coming in
and we're all ready yeah I'm not quite
sure how that works we walk through
gardens and stuff
[Music]
[Music]
little bit on the outside of the island
this is the little town of O'Jays
which you've been to before and it's
actually quite sweet and we decided this
time we go to the castle which is over
the other side which I'll walk around
enjoy you're elected
just up on the hill there this is known
as the sunken city of kukoba and you can
just see in the rocks parts of buildings
and how much is actually sank in number
quite clear bits a building walls
doorways steps built into the rock
[Music]
so that was interesting was interested
on to him
now what I was talking about when they
said that so yeah
we've got wind unfortunately it's
directly on the nose so yeah so we won't
be sailing we're not going far we're
just going around the island to the
other side of the island
[Music]
Kevin's gonna try and do a bit cleaning
of the crop so he's just gone in it's
got a bit of rope with them and he's
gonna wrap it around the prop shaft to
kind of give them something to hang onto
[Music]
it's nice and clear down there how's the
prop Luke how does the prop look as you
would say in the North it hovers stayin
down there stayin under is the problem
but what a beautiful bay I'll tell you
what it's called in a minute when I
actually look it up we're on the little
island of coca-cola lovely scenery the
waves out there were a little bit Lively
so another couple of Oaks here a gull it
another yacht and we're all tied to the
shore so we've taken a line over there
we had an original attempt and
unfortunately the anchor didn't set so
we have to abandon ship and start again
just leaving the island of Cuba and it's
seven o'clock in the morning
one week ago happy birthday to me 8th of
October another year older yeah let's
not go there
[Music]
[Applause]
you
