if you joined us last week you will have

felt the heightened five as we chased

our good friends down in a race it was a

stonking sale and a beautiful day so we

continued on enjoying the scenery as we

sailed on to meet our sailing buddies

Troyer has gone

goddamn

no I don't let the goddamn then I'm far

beyond

good sale of them goes

we were having the most perfect sailing

conditions with 20 knots across our beam

and smooth waters

yesterday

there was

the enemy hordes 22:30 anyone

this is pretty good today

that's been an absolutely gorgeous

morning we're really happy and what are

you right run we had the whitsundays

really us restyling with lots of area

sailing lots of islands lots of

Anchorage's you can sail every day you

know a new place for years

couldn't you oh it's just yeah truly is

a really gorgeous area of the world so

if you want to go on a great sell its

sailing holiday I do recommend the

whitsundays smooth water lots of fun

lots of cool places to put your anchor

down yeah man what a beautiful day we'd

sell Don to chance page and meet up with

Troy and pesky so after a quick hello we

decided to go exploring hunting some

stingrays and some turtles we saw a lot

of turtles here when we came in

yesterday so

we're gonna see what we can find it's

beautiful

where are we

but we're in the westernmost one of

chance a which has got this lovely

little mangrove breeding grounds for

lots of different fish

area

full of blood so we gonna see if they

can't just put it for you

the soft sandy bottom of chance Bay

provides the perfect environment for

stingrays to bask in the Sun and find a

meal they tend to hunt on the rising

tide so it's a good time to observe

their feeding patterns

with mangroves lining the side of the

bay we took the opportunity here to see

if we could find any lurking amongst

[Music]

mangroves are really interesting from

the lush green top sides to spooky

forest like undergrowth

[Music]

we didn't spot any stingrays however we

did find bundles of oysters attached to

the rocks along the edge which we

thought to go back to foraging at low

tide

[Music]

thank God the always symmetrical

spinnaker this is probably one of my

favorite sails actually it's just Stalin

turns a motoring day into a lovely

sailing day and we'll give this one set

up in a sock and I just wanted to show

everyone you know for the people at

night and I have the sock actually works

we've got it laid out on deck and anyway

we'll stick the camera up inside the

sock and I'll give you a look at it yeah

it's the old spinnaker laying up inside

the sock and blue and white lines with

the control lines and they go right to

the top of the sail and it's just got a

block at the top so this is an endless

line if you like so you pull on one and

it'll pull the sock up over the

spinnaker and when you go to retrieve it

you just pull it back down and Dan she

comes so this is just something that

we've made up it's it's not a new nor a

new invention or anything

a lot of cruisers of coffee these many

get socks it just makes things handle a

lot easier because spinning just can be

a bit of a handful like it wrapped

around treads and furless and also it's

the things so it just it does take a

little bit of the pain out of it and

they can make things a fair bit easier

and you can get some nice eyelet

so one of the really cool things about

meeting up and hanging out with

experienced cruises is that you get to

share really good information and

cruising guys and navigation chatting

software and we've just been hanging out

with the gorgeous Troy and Pascale from

marul from free-range sailing and yes be

really cool to catch up with them again

which has been really nice and we've

just been sharing some cruising guides

so you know we've been really lucky to

get a bunch of cruising guides from

Indo and Pacific from them and we

some of Sullivan's and Louise

Louise yeah it's within so yeah I'm just

loading over these files and yeah

they're going to go and hang out on the

beach and see if we can go race spotting

and turtle spotting so that'll be quite

good fun

a hammer and a screwdriver will easily

release the oyster from its shell
