okay so it's the end of the year and

what we thought we would do is cover off

on the most favorite languages that

we've had so in your time we've just

left Australia and we're in New

Caledonia so we want to top off on the

best Anchorage's that we've seen in

Australia since we've been sailing now

because it's a supercool region and you

guys really should check it out if

you're planning on cruising or even

visiting the area and want to get out

into some of the Anchorage's that we've

been it pretty tough out there

so definitely being one of the promo

spots right so what's your number 10

Wilson Island Wilson Island yeah Wilson

island is a Capricorn group that's a

pretty cool little island nicely it's

just off the coast of Gladstone it's

this tiny little island and it's

surrounded by this beautiful reef and we

were out there in turtle nesting season

but you've got to get out there for

turtle nesting season that whole region

is just going off so we saw a little

Bubba turtles we saw Big Momma Turtles

coming in to lay their eggs and yeah it

was just full-on wasn't oh it was just

brilliant I loved it you can go glamping

on Grayson Island which is pretty cool

they've got boutique accommodation tents

out there which operational now so yeah

wasn't it cold no I was pretty good yeah

the sea life was really cool they had

this massive Palmes bombing that you

could snorkel around which was just and

beautiful it had all this fish like

around it lots of turtles in the

surrounding area and turtle hats you

feel was excellent that was our number

10 no rodeo what are you right there's

our number nine Northwest darlin oh yeah

a close neighbor to wilson island

northwest island is this lovely big long

island and it's got this lovely big

lagoon around both sides of it and this

massive big white long sandy beach to

walk on isn't just absolutely brilliant

the anchorage was excellent there's

actually moorings out there what is it

half a day's sail from Blackson yeah

pretty much yeah

so not easy to get to from Gladstone and

yeah Oh turtle

bird life and footy turns and Nadi's we

saw out there we just had a magic time

than we've got interesting

and that's another anchorage that you

can get to if you have got about

yourself you can take a tour out there

and you can even go camping on that

island so yeah it was just a magical

experience for us so number nine is more

fair signing than we highly recommend it

absolutely so number right my pick for

number eight is lady musgrave island and

it's one that a lot of your teas do go

to because it's really really safe

Anchorage you can actually sit out a

blow there it was a lovely little island

and a massive big reef circle reef

around it it's got a really easy

entrance in a very well mark entrance

and in that entrance is this big cut off

and there's sharks in it

cruising around if you saw it in the

footage we just had such a ball with

them that was really really really cool

it's been my friend oh absolutely cool

all right yeah yeah

and the Islanders are a reserve and it's

also got good bird life we saw manta

rays they're just really really safe

place to be

yeah so lady musgrave is in between

redstone and Bundaberg out in the bunker

group and it's just a reef area that you

should really explore beautiful place

absolutely some of the best stories I've

seen out there it's just fantastic radio

so number seven we're taking you up

north to camps and Far North Queensland

and our favorite up there for number

seven is why soft came yes less like a

was cool man it was a neat place it was

only about 20 nautical miles off of it

out of cans so it's like a half-day sail

out of cans and we read that way out to

a bunch of reefs didn't we and then we

hung all righty

and we came across this coral cay with

his beautiful fringing reef and the

funniest thing about it is it was

absolutely covered in people with her it

was just it was so bizarre it was a

weekend in a hole like the tinnies all

of a sudden just and I put up all of

these umbrellas beach umbrellas and

tents and they had their boom boxes and

then and stuff and so if you're looking

for time with people blast-off kay it's

not only gorgeous it's hilarious because

there's just tons of people there so you

could have just gone under the K and

rocked out and had to book it out for

the afternoon

yeah so it was a pretty cool place hey

was cool it was cool wasn't and and I'm

sorry the reef is beautiful with snow

plane was pretty cool too you know yeah

okay so what's on number six babe you

got there's a bug trying to eat yeah oh

yeah number six is broad very broad

history food this rifle was cool man

what a place it's just south of

Townsville

it's an overnight sale from Town Hall

and it was a sweet sale we had

and oh man we arrived to this massive

reef and had really deep troughs in it

we went right through the middle of it

and drop anchor and about 20 meters

right in the middle of it and it was

deadpan calm and outside it had been

fairly turbulent hidden it was turbulent

because we had a bit of a turbulent not

getting there yeah what a place so if

you are into snorkeling or spearfishing

you're into big drop-offs and fish life

wasn't crazy wasn't it oh yeah brie and

I loved it

let's still be caught up with Pascal and

Troy from free-range and we had and who

at the time with him yeah it was pretty

good house a bit reluctant to go out

there because it was heading in the

wrong direction for us yeah we back

checked right it was so worth it oh yeah

I'm so glad we went yeah it was

brilliant what was your favorite thing

about brought is I just like the red

light nice no but I guess it was nobody

there nobody would say out of the Y a

little bit so yeah you're not gonna get

too many people okay so I just wanted to

give a quick thank you I knew to all of

the gorgeous people who have bought our

that we've just launched and yeah you

guys are great thank you so much for

ok number 5 number 5 is alive believe ok

Emily the clay was alive it was pretty

cool wasn't it Oh magic absolutely

another magic spot yeah bird life and

what was super funny about that is that

we rocked up with dropped anchor right

next to the stone DK and then we went in

by tinder and all of the birds were all

over the cave and then when we sort of

like gently drove in because we weren't

sure we'd go on the islands or not they

just sort of shuffled up right up the

other into the Kade and it was very

funny so you know they made room for us

which was really nice

yeah but BBK is pretty cool it's nice

and easy for you guys to get to it's

only 20 nautical miles off of the coast

or

well in a spell which is not just north

of Council and yes so if you you know if

it OC people who are new at cruising and

new at the whole brief adventurous stuff

they're all pretty close but its power

play between cans one can throw it in

the middle pretty much yeah yeah yeah

and it's a really cool place and uh yeah

it's a fine fever cake there's actually

a huge big drop-off and sort of a

underwater Canyon and there's massive

shark feeding me so yeah yeah but the

reefs in between it - are also full of

coral full of beautiful life so fever

cave is our number number five on our

list

absolutely one to go and see for sure

Radio number four butterfly Bay oh we're

getting two all-time favorites here

Spotify Bay is se the first Bay that

Darren talked me through on our week of

sailing and courtship from there it's a

truly beautiful place isn't it

absolutely you can't go wrong way it's

in there whitsundays and there were

sunday islands and it's on the south

eastern corner of holland and it's just

magnificent you go in there and you're

surrounded by these rock walls and these

beautiful big cliffs and then all these

trees everywhere in this beautiful deep

water and there's just curl and it's a

really really say thank you doesn't yeah

kind of and and it sort of echoes all

the sound doesn't it because it's kept

divided in the hole oh yeah it's crazy

and so all of the sounds are all the

sounds of the sea fit of the bed and

cockatoos and it's just sort of echoes

around really soft and really really

it's just such a beautiful babe I love

love it it's you just can't go wrong oh

it's Sunday but that's one of the peak

of them so what Sunday's our beautiful

group of islands just off early beach

really really every night you're in a

safe Anchorage every night your summer

it's just different and it's beautiful

for us we don't go on the beaten path

and in the whitsundays we went to

Anchorage's that no one went to and we

would find ourselves in places where

there were nobody so I know if you may

hear a lot about the Charter scene yep

hyah stop Tata boat

yep go off the beaten path and you'll

find yourself some amazing waterfalls

and some beautiful caves goats awesome

Anchorage is awesome snorting that's

pretty cool

absolutely you can't go wrong in the

whitsundays yeah number three on the

list radio guys we have reached number

three on the amazing list of our

favorite Anchorage's for Queensland in

Australia

what is it fav what's number three Heron

Island Heron Island rocks it's a very

cool place if you guys have seen it it's

got that beautiful wreck of the HMAS

particularly in the channel 2 here in

Heron Island itself and it's an awesome

place to snorkel manta rays Turtles yeah

outstanding marine life hates the water

and one of the cool things about this

place is you can also reach this if

you're not on a boat you can go out

there and stay at the Heron Island

Resort and on another part of the island

there's actually Department of Parks and

Wildlife company what it is for

Australia Marine Park Orion Parks and

Wildlife actually have a station out

there monitoring turtle life and marine

life out there and you can go and hang

out with them and chat and get to know

them and get to talk about them talk

about their research with them so it's

pretty cool absolutely clapping yeah and

the increase is pretty good there's two

mooring boys public mooring boys there

that you can go out and you just got to

pick your weather for when you go out

there but it's a primo spot and highly

recommend you go out there okay number

two I'm always number two where we got

whitehaven beach what having thanks

whitehaven fix is an iconic Australian

Beach I think it actually comes in one

of the top ten places in the world

yeah we are being a bit terracing here

but it's just beautiful right this

there's a massive long white sandy beach

the sand is made of silica it's so soft

isn't that cool it sort of squeaks

between you Tony and the water is Barney

warm crystal-clear and you can go hang

out there and just have like a day at

the beach you can fly out there by

helicopter ferry you get up there a lot

of different a lot of different ways and

just have your day on the beach with an

umbrella and enjoy the magical place

that it is yeah absolutely

yeah what Haven is number two it's a

pretty cool place or audio number one

Percy all's busy Isles rocks absolutely

that's that is my all-time favorite yep

it's just beautiful beaches is taken up

trees heaps of Anchorage's around the

islands yeah there's three islands in

the group is actually technically four

there's one very small island and it has

just got so many different Anchorage's

whether you're north south east west you

can hang out there safely at the percy

isles and explore yeah it just goes on

forever even walk there's just miles and

miles of walking crates yep and the

terrain is really diverse and the flora

and fauna you'll find out there is

really cool you'll see kangaroos you'll

see all sorts of different bird life to

see wonderful natives where you and

you'll find coconut trees right now it's

down near the a-frame which is just kind

of unreal

it's a little bit off the beaten track

that it's at now become an iconic

stopover for cruisers and it's years ago

they built an a-frame on the beach which

you would have seen in our footage and

cruises over the years have been putting

their yachting memorabilia vir cruises

are welcome to hang out there and if you

walk up to the homestead you're pretty

much guaranteed a very warm welcome and

a lovely cup of tea inside we are taking

on a great tour of the island you should

watch that video if you haven't seen

magic plays there's so many really good

Anchorage's in the percy isles honestly

there's south percy there's another

anchorage over on to the west and then

this middle percy island which is the

main island that Yoda's are welcomed at

and there's tracks all around the island

south Percy has really unusual

I reckon they were doing mining there

years ago I think and that island on the

west Percy that neither of us can

remember the name of there's a sweet

Anchorage with awesome walking tracks as

new brilliant brilliant

yeah so this just it doesn't matter

whether you're going north or south

there's a lots of really safe Anchorage

is there for you to hang out and you

could you could get lost there for

months just have to take enough food

yeah so that is our number one absolute

number one Anchorage number one place to

go on the Queensland coast because it's

so diverse so welcoming and such an

awesome place and if you're wanting to

gather with people you will meet a whole

bunch of really cool cruises we're

absolutely okay absolute muster number

one Percy Isles radio show we give the

kid the Baker's doesn't actually that's

would be 13 so we're not giving us

Baker's doesn't mean giving you a number

11 number number 11 is our special

special place and that's just to say

that cruising the Queensland coast

shouldn't be frightening for that

cyclone season with both sailed up there

in the cyclone season for many years and

it's absolutely beautiful in fact I

think the cyclone season is the best

time to be recruiting because the

Queensland coast because everyone else

is left so if you're going to cruise in

the Queensland Far North Queensland in

cyclone season you need to pick out your

cyclone holes and no one that we picked

out for early Beach area which Sunday

area is tram or Bay and if you have not

seen us in that footage we set out a

cat5 cyclone cyclone Debbie in trammel

Bay sweet as two hearings you know pie

so as I was saying that Robert has

dropped to about 970 which means the eye

is going to be pretty close to us right

now we're at full height I'd and they

started

we are tied down nicely Airlines and

holding fast

can't really see anything we was snug as

a bug in a rug

tucked away in those mangroves so check

that footage out don't be scared to sail

in the cyclone season just know where

you're going to run to if some cyclone

does come and be more aware on your

weather absolutely some of the best

Anchorage's in Queensland can be found

on the southern side of our Islands when

the northerlies are blowing so yeah

absolutely primo it's one of the reasons

we haven't done a live chat I tend to

prattle on ok guys so that wraps up our

top 10 destinations for cruising and

Queensland far north queensland

australia highly encourage you to put

australia on your cruising list it's a

beautiful country so we only really

started filming a couple of years ago

there are so many Anchorage's and places

in australia and regions that you could

see when you're cruising I would say the

Kimberley's are just stunning remote big

Red Cliffs waterfalls crazy Anchorage's

crocodiles like it's a crazy beautiful

place to see haka dolls and in that

region and West Australia too is the

braless Islands which are just stunning

and all the way down to Tasmania

Tasmania what a place so really really

encouraged you put Australia on your

list get out there travel and see it ok

where do we get a diego's get out there

guys just get out cruising ok so that's
