we're after a small coral trout today
and we're going to smoke it that
everybody should have a smoker on board
it's basically just a metal box with a
lid and it weights bugger-all so there's
really no excuses not to have one
especially on my boat because I don't
have a fridge or freezer and I never
ever will
it keeps fish up to three days provided
you don't eat from it or wreck the smoke
layer it's on top of it now we've got a
small trout coming up here he's in a bit
of trouble I don't want to shoot
straight on because I don't want to
wreck too much meat so I'm going to tilt
the gun a bit and wait till he goes the
other way not the greatest shot but it's
small enough it'll be great smoking for
smoking I tend to use small fish or
trout's and wrasses they tend to be more
moist and I wouldn't use a medium or
large snapper in it it'd just be too dry
here we go we've got another cold trap
ah I'm just scaring fish it's the last
time the lagoon and I'm doing my duty
and I'm scaring as many of these fish as
possible in my secret spots I'm not
trying to be cruel I just want them to
be a bit more cautious with these
creeping spear fishermen along the
bottom and if they can live long and
fruitful lives and propagate well well
and good and if it makes my job harder
next time I'm out in the reef to spear
them well it'll just be more challenging
as I said a few episodes to go if I'm
out for four hours and they come back
with only one fish at the end of it well
that's a great day tire out how fast is
that I have a feeling I will never ever
see that fish again time for a muck
around let's see how close I can get to
this stingray without disturbing it Oh
better not go on top we know what's
going to happen if I do that let's go
the front
oh it stops chilling in mice assuming I
know this part of the video is foggy but
I had to include it because it's bloody
hilarious check out where the girls are
sitting anyway I took him out to the
drop-off and more happily drifting along
the girls through out the front Niles
out the back
and I was lucky enough to shoot your
small cobia I brained it well I thought
I brined it and I chucked it in the boat
and I thought nothing of it and just
swam off next thing you know I look over
and the girls are sitting in this funny
position and screaming their heads off
the cavea was going wild
sorry girls dude my bad and what a
fishing companion Federer would make you
Martin catch many fish but who gives a

what always always always you laugh
speech by margin and by I did nice and
juicy River and Stefani was telling me
how much he loves to try a juicy liver
and maybe feedback well then look at the
size of that bed rail you want to try
some liver no one good he's good yeah
really
fedja have a go please good
[Music]
and they'll Federer is going to try to
liver from the cobia yeah there you go
beautiful okay oh come on it's not 19th
century medicine fedra that's okay but
not cool right nah I don't like it but
that's that's not strong
I don't like we're leaving tomorrow and
I thought I'd check that everything was
okay below the waterline this is two to
three weeks worth of growth I'm just
using a cheap barbecue scraper just to
get rid of some of the barnacles and the
green growth apparently there's an
excellent product out there called prop
speed and that gives you long term
protection of your props in your sour
drive now I don't use it because it's
pretty expensive and number two I kind
of like the idea of having to get into
the water if you check everything I mean
every time I'm playing with the prop I'm
checking for looseness you never know
I've heard of people reversing from
their mooring after not using the boat
for a few months and reversing their
props off and then you got next three
thousand dollars down the drain
see this seems all like hey all good now
all of these jobs are made a hell of a
lot more interesting if it's crocodile
country basically you just do it much
quicker but don't do it where you've
been anchored make sure you live a wave
of it because that's just asking for
trouble I clean the depth sounder and
also the hole for the dagger boards now
if the dagger board holes just get a
little bit of growth in it it becomes
virtually impossible to get the dagger
boards down
well Fredrik can get it down well
there's no surprises there the last
thing we do is we move the butters fight
east into the lagoon as possible that
way when we get up early in the morning
the Sun will be on our back so that's
just so much easier to eyeball my way
out of there and avoid all the rest now
some people use their previous GPS
tracks while traveling into the Sun I
just think that
that the waiting to happen if I can't
see there I just don't go there and I
just use GPS as a guys-only
