so what's it like in liter v-6 one of

the questions we've been asked about the

Dyneema handrails is about wear and tear

from hiding fenders on them as you can

see this fender is incredibly loose

because it's not actually putting its

weight on the handrail

this is just keeping the real part of

the way what's actually happening with

this is we've tied it down here right

the basis of the chin as you can see so

all the fender rub puts the wear and

tear done at the bottom of the stanchion

whether it is minimal movement and

therefore minimal stress and appears

just really this rope one of my other

jobs today is to this the deck fitting

it was originally put in with silicon

and as usually half as a silicon it's

inadequate and feels so this is going to

be taken I've repaid it with butyl tip

and then this will you get back in and

it will stop the leaks that are coming

through this part of the deck fitting

whilst I'm at it I may also take the

opportunity to replace this rather

crusty looking piece of guard line line

which is you can't see it on camera but

it feels very brittle on the cover and

it's got cracks in it and it's probably

about time that was replaced it made

with the same way as the other lifelines

and may become Dyneema these hard points

which are featured in earlier videos

where we normally tether our member and

see also leak and we've seen them in

real storms if you could down into the

engine bay which is underneath here we

can actually see the rain coming down

screw threads and actually dripping down

on top at the engine it's not good

so Melissa leaves underneath and these

are going to be coming out as well

not the butyl tip was started out it was

simply a matter of securing the

hardpoints back into place next was to

ease the drill to remove the old

silicone from inside the holes and then

it was a clean and tidy before masking

off the area with paper tip once the

bracket was secured down below and butyl

squeezed tight it could simply be

removed by lifting the tip
